Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

Skill Requirements:


Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training


Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work


Experience: Experience an asset


Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English


Work Setting: Home for the aged, Nursing or convalescent home


Area of Specialization: Geriatrics, Palliative care


Registered Nursing Assistant Specific Skills: Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse, Distribute medication to patients, Change patients' dressings, Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy, Bathe and dress patients


Additional Skills: Monitor patients' progress and report any changes


Essential Skills: Reading text, Oral communication, Problem solving, Critical thinking
